From the moment the doors opened, The Heathcote and Star was alive with energy. The venue's intimate and inviting atmosphere provided the perfect setting for a night dedicated to rhythm and connection. As the crowd poured in, it was clear that this was going to be a night to remember. The room pulsed with excitement as the first beats dropped, setting the tone for hours of non-stop dancing.

DJ Performances:
The lineup was diverse and dynamic, with each DJ bringing their unique style to the decks:

  • Gabor Turucz (@improvidra): Kicking off the night, Gabor Turucz delivered a mesmerizing set that seamlessly blended deep house, progressive house, and indie dance. His music was a journey in itself, with deep grooves and uplifting progressions that set the perfect mood for the evening.
  • Renyard (@ctrlzclub): As the night gained momentum, Renyard took over with his signature acid beats. His set was a masterclass in building intensity, with the crowd feeding off the raw, energetic soundscapes he created. The dancefloor was electric, with everyone fully immersed in the moment.
  • Angelo Agostinho (@Angelo_agostinho_official): Bringing a touch of warmth and soul to the night, Angelo Agostinho’s house music set was rich with melody and rhythm.   • Aunty Asbo (@janiceholloway162): Aunty Asbo was one of the night’s standout performers, not just for her eclectic mix of funk and house but for her inspiring story. Having only started DJing a couple of years ago in her early 60s, she proved that you’re never too old to start pursuing your passion. Aunty Asbo held her own in the booth, delivering a set that was fresh, dynamic, and full of surprises, earning her well-deserved applause from the audience.
  • Halley Seidel (@halleyseidel): The night reached a euphoric high with Halley Seidel, who had flown in all the way from Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, as part of his European tour. His set was a high-energy mix of techno and funky house, keeping the crowd moving until the very end. Halley’s infectious beats and commanding presence on the decks were a perfect way to close out the night. After leaving everyone on a high, he was off to Barcelona the next morning to continue his tour, but the energy he brought to The Heathcote and Star was unforgettable.

Community & Vibes:
What made the night truly special was the sense of community that filled the room. Ministry of Breaks has always been more than just a party – it’s a gathering of like-minded souls united by their love for music and DJ culture. From the DJs to the dancers, everyone was there to connect, share, and celebrate the beats that brought them together.

As the sun set over London, The Heathcote & Star was already buzzing with anticipation. The crowd, a mix of seasoned ravers and new faces, filled the venue with an infectious energy. The atmosphere was electric, with the room ready to explode with excitement as soon as the first beat dropped. Ministry of Breaks nights have a reputation for being more than just parties—they're experiences that bring people together through a shared love of music.

DJ Performances:
Each DJ brought their A-game, making sure the dancefloor stayed packed and the energy never waned:

  • Season of the Crab (@greg_kento): Opening the night, Season of the Crab set the tone with a vibrant mix of progressive house, newbeat, 80’s synth sounds, and Italo disco. His set was a nostalgic yet forward-thinking journey that had the crowd swaying to every beat, perfectly blending old-school vibes with a modern twist.
  • Ro-Motion (@matt_romotion): Ro-Motion took the decks next, turning up the tempo with a dynamic set of breaks and UK garage. His ability to seamlessly switch between genres kept the crowd on their toes, with each transition building the energy higher. The crowd couldn’t get enough of his infectious beats, and the dancefloor was in full swing.
  • Kuznecova (@djjf.ox): Bringing her signature sound, Kuznecova delivered an exhilarating set that explored all corners of house music—from bass house to funky house and beyond. Her track selection was impeccable, keeping the vibe fresh and the crowd engaged with every drop. Kuznecova’s set was a testament to the versatility and enduring appeal of house music.
  • Enlightenment (@dj_enlightenment): The night took a turn towards the heavier side with Enlightenment’s powerful set of drum and bass and jungle. His expertly curated selection of tracks had the room bouncing, with each drop hitting harder than the last. The energy in the room was electric, with the crowd fully immersed in the intense rhythms.
  • DJ MARSHAM (@djmarsham): DJ MARSHAM kept the momentum going with an old-school vibe, delivering a vinyl set of oldskool hardcore, jungle, and DnB. His set was a nostalgic nod to the roots of the rave scene, with the warm crackle of vinyl adding an authentic touch. The crowd responded with pure joy, dancing with abandon to the classic beats.
  • Lively (@dj_l1vely): Closing out the night, Lively brought the energy to a fever pitch with his set of funky breaks and DnB, also on vinyl. His ability to blend funky grooves with the raw energy of drum and bass kept the crowd moving until the very end. It was a fitting end to a night that was all about celebrating the diverse sounds and cultures of the dance music scene.

 The Heathcote & Star in London E11 hosted another legendary Ministry of Breaks open deck night. This time, an electrifying lineup of DJs brought an array of sounds, from electronic beats to deep house grooves and bass-heavy bangers. The night was a testament to the diversity and energy of the underground music scene, leaving the crowd exhilarated and craving more. 

 

It was the perfect setting for a night dedicated to eclectic beats and community vibes. As the doors opened, the venue quickly filled with eager music lovers ready to lose themselves to the rhythm. The atmosphere was alive with anticipation, and from the first drop of the needle, it was clear that this was going to be a night to remember.

DJ Performances:
The DJs on the lineup each brought their own flavor, making sure the dancefloor stayed alive and the energy never dipped:

  • Folek (@folek.tor): Kicking off the night, Folek delivered a mesmerizing set of electronic music that seamlessly blended driving beats with atmospheric soundscapes. His carefully crafted mix set the perfect tone, drawing the crowd into a hypnotic groove that set the stage for the night ahead.
  • David Wilcox (@davidwilcoxdj): Next up was David Wilcox, who took the energy to new heights with his infectious blend of disco and house. His set was a celebration of classic grooves and modern beats, with each track selected to keep the dancefloor moving. The crowd responded with pure joy, dancing to the rhythm and embracing the feel-good vibes.
  • Señor Peludo (@senor_peludo): Bringing a distinctly UK flavor to the night, Señor Peludo dropped a dynamic set of UK garage that had the crowd bouncing. His tight mixing and fresh track selection kept the energy high, with the basslines shaking the room and the audience in sync with every beat.
  • Lucidity (@Lucid_alejo): Lucidity shifted the night into a bass-heavy territory with his set of bass music.   • Cube Cutter (@Cube.cutter): Closing out the night, Cube Cutter brought the heat with a powerful set that spanned drum and bass, deep/afro house, and garage.
